Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how Nile Reserve works, how private Nile enquiries are handled, and what guests should understand before requesting or confirming a curated dahabiya experience.
1. About Nile Reserve
Nile Reserve is a curated travel platform focused on private Nile journeys, selected dahabiya experiences, and tailored travel recommendations in Egypt.
We help guests explore private Nile experiences based on atmosphere, privacy, comfort, route rhythm, occasion, and travel style.
Nile Reserve is not designed as a mass-market cruise listing platform. Our role is to guide, curate, review, and recommend suitable private Nile experiences with a stronger focus on fit and trust.
Important note:
Website content, experience pages, and open browsing materials are for guidance and enquiry purposes. A booking is only confirmed when written confirmation and the required payment conditions are completed.
2. Website content
The information on this website is provided for general guidance, inspiration, and enquiry purposes.
We aim to keep content accurate and useful, but details such as availability, pricing, vessel assignment, route direction, inclusions, exclusions, cabin arrangements, and operational conditions may change.
Nothing on the website should be treated as a confirmed booking, guaranteed availability, or final offer unless confirmed in writing by Nile Reserve or the relevant authorised service provider.
3. Experience codes
Nile Reserve may use public experience codes, such as NR-HM, NR-KZ, NR-ES, NR-RZ, NR-KD, or NR-SF, to present selected Nile experiences during open browsing.
These codes help guests understand the mood, fit, and travel style of different private Nile experiences without turning the website into a public supplier directory.
Full vessel details, verified images, cabin notes, capacity information, and operator details may be shared privately during the recommendation or proposal stage before any final booking payment is required.
4. Enquiries and private recommendations
When you submit an enquiry, Nile Reserve may ask for details such as travel dates, number of guests, route preference, occasion, budget range, and travel style.
We use this information to understand your journey and assess which experience may be suitable.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a confirmed booking. It allows Nile Reserve to review your request and respond with guidance, questions, or a private recommendation where appropriate.
5. Proposals and availability
Any proposal shared by Nile Reserve is subject to availability, route feasibility, seasonal conditions, and confirmation by the relevant operator or service provider.
A private proposal may include
- Recommended experience or vessel
- Full vessel name and profile
- Verified images where available
- Cabin layout and capacity notes
- Route direction and journey rhythm
- Suitability notes
- Inclusions and exclusions
- Pricing basis
- Payment terms
- Cancellation terms
- Any special arrangements or limitations
A proposal is only valid for the period stated in the proposal.
6. Pricing
Prices may vary depending on travel dates, season, number of guests, route direction, vessel availability, cabin configuration, service level, transfers, guides, and special requests.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, prices shown or discussed before proposal confirmation are indicative and subject to final confirmation.
7. Payments and booking confirmation
A booking is not confirmed until the payment terms are accepted and the required payment has been received according to the confirmed proposal or booking agreement.
Payment schedules, accepted payment methods, refund terms, and cancellation conditions will be confirmed in the private proposal or booking documents.
Guests should not make dependent travel arrangements, such as flights or additional accommodation, until their Nile experience has been confirmed in writing.
8. Cancellations and changes
Cancellation and change terms vary depending on the selected experience, operator, season, and booking conditions.
Any applicable cancellation fees, refund rules, date-change conditions, or non-refundable items will be stated in the confirmed proposal or booking terms.
If you request changes after confirmation, Nile Reserve will do its best to assist, but changes may be subject to availability, additional charges, or operator approval.
9. Guest responsibilities
Guests are responsible for providing accurate information and preparing properly for their trip.
- Providing accurate names, dates, group size, and contact details
- Ensuring passports, visas, and travel documents are valid
- Checking entry requirements for Egypt
- Informing Nile Reserve of dietary, health, accessibility, mobility, or family requirements
- Respecting local culture, crew instructions, safety guidance, and onboard rules
- Arranging suitable travel insurance
- Arriving on time for confirmed transfers, embarkation, and scheduled arrangements
Nile Reserve is not responsible for issues caused by inaccurate guest information or failure to meet travel requirements.
10. Travel insurance
Nile Reserve strongly recommends that all guests arrange appropriate travel insurance before travelling.
Insurance should ideally cover medical needs, trip cancellation, delays, lost belongings, emergency assistance, and any activities included in the journey.
11. Health, safety, and special requirements
Guests should inform Nile Reserve before confirmation if they have any health, mobility, accessibility, dietary, family, or safety-related requirements that may affect the suitability of a dahabiya journey.
Some vessels, docking points, routes, or heritage locations may have physical limitations. We will do our best to advise, but not every experience may be suitable for every guest.
12. Third-party operators and service providers
Private Nile journeys may involve selected dahabiya operators, guides, transfer providers, hotels, or other local service partners.
Nile Reserve works to recommend suitable experiences and support communication, but some services may be operated by independent third parties.
Where third-party terms apply, they will be shared or reflected in the private proposal or booking conditions.
13. Images and descriptions
Images, descriptions, and experience notes on the website are intended to communicate the style, atmosphere, and suitability of a journey.
Exact layouts, furnishings, cabins, décor, menus, routes, and onboard details may vary by vessel, date, season, or operational conditions.
Verified and specific details are shared privately before final confirmation wherever applicable.
14. Responsible travel
Nile Reserve encourages respectful, mindful, and culturally aware travel.
Guests are expected to respect local communities, heritage sites, crew members, natural environments, and cultural traditions throughout the journey.
15. Website use
You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, copy content for commercial use without permission, or use the website in a way that may damage Nile Reserve or affect other users.
All website content, including text, design, branding, layouts, and visual presentation, belongs to Nile Reserve or is used with permission unless stated otherwise.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nile Reserve is not responsible for indirect losses, travel disruption, force majeure events, weather conditions, government actions, supplier failure, transport delays, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot legally be limited.
17. Force majeure
Nile Reserve and its partners are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, river conditions, government restrictions, strikes, health emergencies, transport disruption, political events, natural disasters, or other exceptional circumstances.
18. Governing law and local conditions
Unless a confirmed booking agreement states otherwise or applicable consumer laws require a different rule, these Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Egypt.
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply as far as permitted by law.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page.
Continued use of the website after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.
